Saw your article on the internet and have a question:
I live in Arizona. My home has a very tall covered entry way that faces North. I have several large desert trees in my front yard which insects love to hang out in and the Bats love to come eat.
The Bats are grabbing a bug and then coming in my entry to eat them. They hang on the wall and pee and poop all over the place. My front door entry is just nasty with all the droppings.
They aren’t roosting here and there is no sense in trying to build a bat house for them.
Any suggestions as to how to get them to go eat someplace else?
Thanks, S.M.
This is an easy one to solve. Did you review all the BAT PRODUCTS we have listed? In the product list you’ll find some ULTRA SOUND DEVICES. These are quite effective on bats. In most cases any bat that comes around an active device will move away immediately and not come back. Bats are quite smart and remember things well. One or two experiences with this sound and they’ll stay away for sure.
There are two units which work well on bats including item # 787810 on this page:

If you set it on a timer as explained in our video, you can have it active only at night. You may also find mounting one permanently on the ceiling to be more “discreet”. For this application, our ceiling unit would be ideal and can be seen here:

On a side note, it’s important to clean the area with an odor neutralizer. Bats have a keen sense of smell and will regularly forage where they “smell” other bats have been. Clearly all the poo and pee from previous bat activity is a magnet to any that come around. Neutralize this smell with our NNZ. This will most definitely help your cause. Good luck!
