do you know if washing cloths will kill the cloth casting moths and larvae that may be on them? (in warm/cold water and then heat with the dryer)
As explained in our CLOTHING MOTH CONTROL article, it’s impertative that the clothing where the moths have been seen be cleaned. This can be done by dry cleaning or washing. However, that alone will not solve the problem.
Since Casemaking Moths can get into furniture, rugs, curtains and virtually any part of the home, it’s important to treat with the products we have listed in our article if you wish to get long term control. The CYFLUTHRIN and NYLAR are great options to apply since they last a long time, are odorless, and get all stages of the moth including the eggs. This insures you don’t have an ongoing infestation.
