Having read the article on good sprayers for use in whitefly eradication, I am very interested in a sprayer that will provide the fine mist necessary to help fully cover the tomato and okra plants that I have which are infested with whitefly.
I am just trying to verify that this sprayer will do the job as mentioned in your article on “whitefly control”. If this sprayer is adequate for the job, I will be ordering it plus some of the chemicals mentioned in this article. I have several of the cheaper sprayers which do a fine job of spraying the tops of the plants, but fail miserably at trying to get good coverage on the bottom of leaves. Also, do you have some organic products that I can use instead of what you have listed in your article?
By the way, I found the article very helpful and now think maybe I will be able to see daylight instead of a white cloud when I get into my garden.
If you have just a few plants to spray, the ELIMINATOR SPRAYER isn’t our best sprayer and it doesn’t even do a good “mist” pattern but it could get the job done. The best sprayer for the job is the SOLO 1 GALLON HD we have built to our specifications. This unit is both sturdy and durable. It’s spraying system of valve, wand and tips provides a final spray that’s very close to professional.
Since you are treating vegetables, the use of some organic products would be smart. For whiteflys, we’ve found the 3 IN 1 FIM and the MULTI PURPOSE INSECT KILLER to be good choices. The 3 in 1 is uniquie because it combines an insecticide, miticide and fungicide so you only have to worry about one material to apply. This can take some guess work out of choosing what to use because you’re unsure what’s wrong with your plant. The Multi Purpose Insect Killer is very active on insects and probably one of the best organic options available.
